Guarantees
With almost 20,000 units in service,
the Vaughan Chopper Pump has not only proven it’s value in problem solving,
but also established itself as the reliable alternative to conventional pumping. Over the years, product reliability
has also allowed Vaughan to guarantee the NON-CLOG performance of all chopper pumps. This guarantee is your written
assurance of clog-free solids-handling performance, above-and-beyond the standard materials-and-workmanship warranty.
Below is a sample guarantee so you can see how simple and direct Vaughan's guarantee reads — no "catch phrases" or vague requirements.
Vaughan guarantees to

Customer
agrees to store and install the pump according to Vaughan
recommendations (ref: O&M manual). Start up must not exceed 6
months after receipt at jobsite. All associated devices shall be
installed and fully functional for pump protection.

Customer agrees to fill
out and return the start-up certification sheet located in the O&M
manual, and to notify Vaughan or the local factory representative of
any problems encountered within 24 hours of the occurrence.
Vaughan reserves the right to make any corrective changes to
the pump during the guarantee period.
If the above terms are met, and pump failure still occurs, then
Vaughan shall be obligated to accept return of the pump, freight
prepaid, and refund the purchase price of the pump.

This guarantee does not
replace Vaughan's standard one-year materials and workmanship
warranty. The purchase of
the pump must be in strict accordance with the details of the
quotation, including the terms of payment.

Vaughan is not
responsible for the effects of abrasion and corrosion.
Materials of construction are to be specified by the customer.
Customer agrees to perform routine maintenance and repair, per the
guidelines of the O&M manual.

Vaughan
is not responsible for the determination of head or flow requirements.
Pump must be applied within the efficiency boundaries of the pump
performance curves, unless approved by Vaughan.
